An architecture & build studio for Grand Cayman. Three tiers, drawn for the island — Origin for the everyday Caymanian, Residence for the family, Atelier for the legacy estate. Energy-efficient. Hurricane-rated. Drawn from the land.
Eight plans, three tiers.
Eight pins, one island.
Each property mapped to where the road actually goes — not where the spreadsheet says. Tap a pin to read the data sheet.
Built from the island, for the island.
Ironwood is a Cayman architecture & build studio. Every plan is drafted on the island, for the island — passive cooling, deep verandas, hurricane-rated steel cores, native landscaping. Whether the brief is an 800-square-foot Origin cottage or a 1,400-square-metre Atelier estate, the standard does not change.
We don’t resell other people’s houses. We design and build yours, on a lot of your choosing, from one of three tiers — or fully bespoke. Every line, every fixture, costed and scoped in the brief. No surprises at handover.
The studio voice.
Four rules, six diagrams, six materials. Every plan we draw — from the smallest Origin cottage to the largest Atelier estate — passes through this language. The standard does not change.

01
Drawn from the land
Every plan starts with a half-day site walk — wind direction, sun path, neighbour line, water table. Brochures come last.
-
02
Built to outlast
Hurricane-rated to 180 mph. Steel core. Marine brass. Ironwood structure. The roof we draw is the roof your grandchildren replace.
-
03
Read in shadow
Passive cooling first, mechanical second. Eight-metre verandas. Louvred ceilings. Cross-ventilation as a hallway, not a setting.

04
Native by default
Ironwood, coral stone, silver thatch, bleached oak. Local supply, locally trained crew. The plan exists because the materials do.
We don’t build the biggest house on the lot. We build the right one.

Plant the lot, not the house
Bring us a lot. We’ll bring the drawing.
Every brief starts with a thirty-minute conversation — lot, programme, budget, timeline. No pressure, no pitch. By the end of it you’ll know whether we’re the right fit, and you’ll have a written one-page response.
